WEBSome hotswap sockets are 3-pin and some are 5-pin. 3-pin switches will work in either socket type. 5-pin switches can work with 3-pin sockets, but you will need to clip 2 of the pins so they can fit. 5-pins improves the stability of installed switches by securing the switch to the PCB, as well as the socket.

WEBFeb 2, 2022 · A good choice imo would be the Keychron C2; it’s 65 USD on Amazon and 60 on the Keychron website. It comes with Gateron blue/brown/red switches, but it’s hot swappable, like you’re looking for. I’m not too familiar with Romer-G switches, but from what I know they’re silent-ish tactile switches with a shorter travel.

KBDfans has a 60% hotswap and it's actually really nice but it's also around $200 (if you include switches). drop.com has two options (catch - they cost way more than $100) but: a) it has an annoying PCB (allows only plate mount switches)

WEBDec 20, 2021 · IQunix L80 cosmic traveller. Nicest prebuilt I’ve ever felt. Great and wireless… this is the difficulty. You could try looking at the Keychron hot swappable range, some have big batteries and you can easily swap out the keycaps for some nice Cherry profile PBTs, as the included keycaps are the weak link.

WEBAug 23, 2021 · Depends on your budget. TM680 is a super popular budget 65% right now. KBD67 Lite is a fan favorite for being cheap but sounding really good. If you just need arrow keys, the Freebird60 is a 60% GB that is capable of supporting a ton of different layouts on a hot swap PCB.

They have wireless (BT and/or USB) options, hot swap, room for modding, and gamakays on banggood has more switch options (silver and yellow switches). RK and gamakay may not be the highest quality, but are good >$100 keebs.
