WEBI just received a new vostro 7500 (1 TB SSD and Nvidia 1650 Ti with 6 cell battery). I'm very disappointed that the display isn't very bright and also has an unacceptable yellow tint. I've tried adjusting the brightness and the display color calibration without success.

WEBJun 22, 2021 · Like the 5K Precisions are just XPSs. It's just rebadged Inspiron. Stick with Latitude. I had a 7500 for a month but ended up returning it - falsely advertised Thunderbolt support (only the highest end model has it) It’s basically an Inspiron 15 with a different paint job but quite good value if you’re not fussy.

WEBThe FHD display is pretty great. Gets reasonably bright so Dell’s advertised 300 nits seems to be accurate. I briefly tried it outside when it was slightly cloudy, and it was barely usable, so it’s probably not bright enough to use in the sun. Colours look good to me; Dell claims a 100% srgb coverage.
Can someone here explain to me why the Vostro series is so bad?

The only issue i have is it sometimes get hot while gaming because of the bad cooling system Dell used in thier vostro and inspiron 2020 lineup to make laptop slim. I run about 30 vostros for a small business. I have very few problems with them.

WEBFeb 9, 2021 · Dell Vostro 7500 Heating issue. The fans don't seem to be coming on anymore... I have not changed any of the settings in the bios and its new. The fans are on but they don't seem to be coming on when the cpu starts taking up more processes. Is there any settings that are supposed to be enabled to control the fan that I'm missing?
