Amazing location, lots to see, good for kids because no need to read to enjoy. If you have kids that can’t walk well will be a bit harder as strollers aren’t great on paths and can’t go in the caves…Full review by BCNY100
Is it important to tour the site with a tour guide? Or can you have a good experience visiting on your own. Travelling with wife and 4 children ages 6-14.

On your own is fine, each place has placards describing what you are seeing. Just make sure to pick up a map when you arrive. You have to have a car to get around as is sprawling.
