This is a lovely Fort, with some lovely views, and historic architecture, a bit of a walk from the railway station, but well worth it. Full review by malc1005

If you are in Ortona the do take time out to view the castle as it is just on the edge of the older part of town. Visit either during the daytime or nighttime as the gate is open til late. Full review by Rodney P

Hi I am wondering if you can walk to the castle from the centre of the town of Ortona or whether you need a car? I have been to Ortona many times on the bus from San Vito Marina to the Thursday morning market and didn't even know the Castle existed. Thanks for any help. Lesley
