NASCAR won a key Charter battle Friday as a judge denied 23XI and Front Row’s injunction to keep guaranteed race entry, dealing an early blow to their antitrust lawsuit.

U.S. District Judge Frank D. Whitney ruled Friday against the preliminary injunction sought by 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports. The injunction would have allowed both Cup organizations to have competed as either a charter or an open team in 2025 without losing their right to continue their antitrust lawsuit against NASCAR.
