The chase came to an end near 71st and Vincennes in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood, where officers stopped the minivan and arrested two people after a brief foot chase. The Nissan Rogue was later recovered. The investigation is ongoing.

The pursuit started earlier in the afternoon in the Avondale neighborhood after police dispatch reports of an Illinois State Police trooper being hit by burglary suspects in a Nissan Rogue SUV.
