The Texas Rangers have emerged as one of many teams to watch at the trade deadline, and president Chris Young explained his squad's approach.

In a shocking turn of events, the scorching-hot Rangers have positioned themselves to be buyers at the trade deadline.

The speed with which the Rangers went from sellers to buyers is quite impressive. Adolis Garcia was said to be on his way out of town for sure. Now it looks like everyone is staying put and some reinforcements are on the way, either hitters or pitchers.

The San Francisco Giants have already made the biggest trade of the season for Rafael Devers. They could make another one in the coming days.

However, according to Jeff Passan and Kiley McDaniel of ESPN in their top 50 trade deadline candidates, the Astros were listed as the best fit for current Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Seth Lugo.

With the Dodgers hardly appearing as a collection of immortals, the opportunity is here for the Mets. We say this as the hours pass toward Thursday’s 6 p.m. trade deadline. The Mets can take the conservative route and add another power arm to the bullpen and call it a day.
