OpenAI recently shared a new five-level classification system for AI systems with employees, according to a new Bloomberg report.

OpenAI is reportedly working on a new project, code named Strawberry, that would bring advanced reasoning capabilities to its AI models.Reuters reports that the AI will be able to “navigate the internet autonomously” to perform “deep research.

OpenAI has previously stated that AGI—a nebulous term for a hypothetical concept that means an AI system that can perform novel tasks like a human without specialized training—is currently the primary goal of the company.

Among the project’s goals is to enable the company’s AI models to autonomously scour the internet in order to “plan ahead” for more complex tasks, according to an internal document seen by Reuters.
