Born on September 25, 1983, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Alderman Brostoff’s life was marked by an unwavering commitment to social justice, community engagement, and public service.

Milwaukee Alderperson Jonathan Brostoff was found dead Monday morning in a far south parking lot section near 124th Street and Lincoln Avenue at Greenfield Park in West Allis.Police responded before noon to the discovery.

Alderman Jonathan Brostoff and former Alderman Terry Witkowski have died, according to a press release from Mayor Cavalier Johnson’s office on Monday, Nov. 4.

City Hall said Monday. Colleagues and friends remembered Brostoff, 41, as an enthusiastic public servant and a loving father. In a statement, members of the Common Council described him as "a loving father and husband" and said he "greeted everyone he met with empathy and kindness.
