Prescott has never performed a holdout or hold-in for a new contract, but when he signed his four-year $240 million deal with $231 million guaranteed featuring an NFL-high $60 million average salary, he didn’t get it until the morning of the 2024 season opener.

Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons is at training camp in Oxnard, California, but he is not practicing as he waits for a contract extension.

Going into his 10th season as the Cowboys' quarterback, Prescott has been with the team for nearly one-third of its NFC-worst 29-season drought without a conference title game appearance. He is driven to end it this year, preferably culminating in a Super Bowl ring.
