The Carolina Panthers had the worst defense in the league by far last season, but that didn't stop general manager Dan Morgan from selecting wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan from Arizona with the No. 8 pick.

The Panthers set an NFL record for points allowed in a single season last year, but they didn't add a defensive piece with their top pick in this year's draft.

Although "a lot" of teams were apparently looking at the Panthers' eighth overall pick, GM Dan Morgan and company stuck in and picked their guy.
