The Rafael Devers era is here. The Giants’ new star slugger was officially introduced during a press conference at Oracle Park prior to Tuesday night’s series opener against the Guardians.
Batting third and as the designated hitter, Rafael Devers was 2 for 5 with an RBI and two strikeouts in his first game with San Francisco.
Rafael Devers has been formally introduced by the Giants, days after being traded to San Francisco by the Boston Red Sox.
The press conference will be held at Oracle Park in San Francisco at 5:30 p.m. EST (2:30 p.m. PST) and will feature a panel of Giants chairman Greg Johnson, president of baseball operations Buster Posey, general manager Zack Minasian, manager Bob Melvin, and of course, Devers himself.
Following a blockbuster trade sending Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants from the Boston Red Sox, the lefty slugger will debut vs Cleveland.
