Producing his best-ever annual haul in the red-ball format, Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has been crowned as the ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year for 2024.

Jasprit Bumrah was named the ICC Men's Test Cricketer of the Year for 2024 after the India pace spearhead produced his best annual haul in the red-ball format, the sport's governing body said on Monday.

NEW DELHI (ANI)- Indian pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah has been honoured as the ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year for 2024, following his finest-ever performance in the red-ball format, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah was awarded the ICC men's Test Cricketer of the Year for 2024. Bumrah claimed 71 wickets in 13 matches, returning from a back injury to make significant contributions in keeping India competitive.

The Indian fast bowler won the ICC’s award for men’s cricketer of the year for his performances in both the red-ball and white-ball format in 2024.

India's premier pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah has been adjudged the ICC Men's Test Cricketer of the Year for 2024. The award comes after Bumrah had an outstanding year across formats, especially Test cricket. His brilliant bowling helped India stay afloat for the 2023-25 ICC World Test Championship final.

Bumrah played a total of 13 Tests and eight ODIs last year. He secured 71 and 15 wickets, respectively. As a result, Bumrah became only the fifth Indian cricketer to win the aforementioned accolade.
