Eleven Illinois teenagers were charged with felony crimes after two men using dating apps were allegedly lured and beaten during the summer, according to police. Some of the teens, males 17 and 16, took inspiration for the alleged crimes from a viral social media trend,

Mount Prospect police said 11 teenage boys, one 16 and the others 17, were charged with felonies, including aggravated battery, criminal damage to property, and mob action.

Felony charges have been filed against 11 teen boys accused of ambushing and beating two men after they allegedly used a dating app to organize meetups in early July. According to Mount Prospect police,

Police are searching for the remains of Britney D. Hoffman-Kelly from Quincy. The suspect in her death was killed by officers after he shot at them.

Kelly, 32, is believed to have been murdered and her late husband, Chadwick Kelly, is considered to be a suspect in the case.

St. Charles Police are working with Quincy Police to investigate the disappearance of Brittney D. Hoffman-Kelly, who is now considered to be dead, and are asking for public assistance in locating her remains.
