Leaders of the BRICS nations are meeting in New Delhi for a summit focused on trade, investment and global conflicts. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is hosting leaders from Russia, China, Iran and other member countries.

As part of the BRICS Summit 2026, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He will meet Abiy Ahmed Ali, PM of Ethiopia, and will also meet Anwar Ibrahim, PM of Malaysia.

Even so, finding unity among the loose grouping of emerging economies will be difficult as the war in the Middle East strains their own interests.
