FOXBOROUGH - Ja’Lynn Polk lives in an alternate universe where his rookie season doesn’t exist. It never happened. Or rather, he’s pretending it doesn’t matter. To recap, the season was marred by injury, dropped passes, killer penalties and simply not getting what it took to play in the NFL.

The Patriots made Polk the 37th overall pick of the 2024 draft when Jerod Mayo was still learning on the job about serving as a first-year head coach. Polk left much to be desired with his play, as he recorded just 12 receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns over 15 games for a Patriots side that went 4-13.
