DC Studios head James Gunn reveals how Mike Flanagan was able to convince him to greenlight his Clayface movie for the DC Universe.

James Gunn is sharing an update, or lack thereof, on The Batman Part II following news of DC Studios setting a release date for a Clayface movie for Fall 2026.

James Gunn has explained why Clayface will be the third feature film set within the DCU. The DCU officially kicked off earlier this month with the premiere of the animated Creature Commandos series. Gunn’s Superman film is scheduled to be released in July 2025,

James Gunn recently discussed green-lighting Mike Flanagan's Clayface film, stating: "if there’s quality stuff, we can find a way to work it in.”
