Mendoza just led the Hoosiers to their first outright Big Ten Championship in 80 years after upsetting Ohio State in the title game. The undefeated 13-0 Hoosiers enter the College Football Playoff as the No. 1 seed. Mendoza is beginning to establish himself as the likely top pick in the 2026 NFL draft.

The top of the draft order is changing by the week, but the priorities are not. QB will be the call for at least a few clubs on Day 1.

The Jets picked up a gutsy win over the Falcons on Nick Folk’s 56-yard field goal as time expired. It gave them a rare moment of pure joy in an otherwise miserable season. But it also gave them another win, bringing their total to three, and moving them lower in the draft order for 2026.

Led by Mendoza, the Hoosiers won their first outright Big Ten crown since 1945, and he is expected to become the school’s first Heisman winner Saturday night. The school’s only other finalist was running back Anthony Thompson in 1989.
