The Los Angeles Lakers are apparently in the market for a backup center who would be an improvement over Jaxson Hayes, who is energetic but lanky. One such backup center they are thought to be after on the trade market is Walker Kessler of the Utah Jazz.

While there's no doubt that Ingram would make a great addition to the Lakers roster, there just isn't enough upside to make the trade appealing this season.

Smith, the Lakers likely won't pursue adding a big man but rather look to add more shooting and athleticism on the perimeter.
