Category 1 Hurricane Kirk: Wednesday, Oct 2 update from the NHC on latest developments
As per the National Hurricane Center’s 4 pm Wednesday update, Category 1 Hurricane Kirk is 1330 miles west-northwest of the Cabo Verde Islands and 1165 miles east-northeast of the Lesser Antilles, with maximum sustained wind of 90 mph. It’s moving 12 mph to the northwest. Kirk is forecast to change into a hurricane.
