Overwatch 2 is finally here! While major steps forward for the Overwatch franchise are long overdue after two and a half years without a new hero, the sequel is debuting at an odd time.
The theme for Overwatch 2 Season 5 is Questwatch, and in the narrative of this battle pass, Tracer and Emily are hosting a fantasy table-top roleplaying campaign with their friends.
Mauga permanently comes to Overwatch 2 when Season 8 drops on December 5. He’s also available to play for a limited time in the game’s non-competitive modes until November 5.

Overwatch 2's approach to new hero releases is much different than the original game. In the first Overwatch, heroes were free forever and immediately available. In Overwatch 2, you have to earn them.
