Despite a report to the contrary this past week, the Calgary Flames have made it clear that defenseman Rasmus Andersson is not available for trade. As per TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun, the Flames have told teams their defenseman is not on the market as he’s become a cornerstone of their roster.

Given his age, contract term and recent production, Andersson entered the season as arguably the best trade chip at Calgary’s disposal.
