The Pittsburgh Steelers have acquired DK Metcalf, who is signing a four-year, $132 million extension, from the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a 2025 second-round draft pick, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Sunday.

DK Metcalf gave the Seattle Seahawks some great years, but the team is wasting no time in erasing the remnants of his time there.

The Seattle Seahawks traded Pro Bowl wide receiver DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers over the weekend, a move that came after releasing veteran Tyler Lockett. As such, the wide receiver room was left looking quite thin as the frachise also transitioned at quarterback.

The Seattle Seahawks made the tough decision to move on from DK Metcalf this offseason, a staple of the organization and offense for six seasons, and the wide receiver took to Instagram to thank the organization and fanbase after the trade to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

DK Metcalf was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers over the weekend following six seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. His departure was somewhat expected after he requested a trade from the team last week.
