Lenny Wilkens, the legendary former SuperSonics player, coach and executive, was honored Saturday as the first person to have a statue unveiled outside Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.

A statue of Lenny Wilkens was unveiled outside Climate Pledge Arena to honor the man who embodied Seattle’s NBA team and became a fixture in the community.

The Seattle Storm announced that it will honor franchise legend Sue Bird, a four-time WNBA champion, 13-time WNBA All-Star and eight-time All-WNBA player, with a statue outside its home stadium (Climate Pledge Arena).
