The Toronto Maple Leafs have struggled offensively and a trade pitch has them acquiring Ryan Strome from the Anaheim Ducks.

Earlier this week, the Toronto Maple Leafs made a trade with the San Jose Sharks. They moved defenceman Timothy Liljegren for two draft picks and defenceman Matt Benning.

Other players who have recently returned from injury, like Calle Jarnkrok and unsettled forward Nick Robertson, are possible roster and cap casualties that could free up a spot for the Maple Leafs to re-introduce one or two of the returning men.

A trade proposal has the Toronto Maple Leafs acquiring Tanner Jeannot from the Los Angeles Kings in an intriguing deal.

Earlier this week, the Maple Leafs acquired veteran blueliner Matt Benning as part of the return in the trade that saw blueliner Timothy Liljegren move to San Jose. However, it doesn’t appear as if he’s in Toronto’s plans.
