Waianae’s Max Holloway is moving on from the featherweight division. In a video from his personal YouTube channel released Saturday, Holloway announced he plans to move up from the 145 pound weight class to the lightweight division (155 pounds) moving forward.

Max Holloway is one of the UFC's most popular fighters and cemented a legacy as one of the greatest featherweight fighters of all-time. His time as a featherweight is at a close, however, as Holloway announced on his YouTube channel that he is making a full-time move to the lightweight division.

Competing for a UFC featherweight belt for the first time since July 2022, Waianae’s Max Holloway faced Ilia Topuria in the main event of UFC 308 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi and lost via technical knockout in the third round. Topuria improved to 16-0, while Holloway dropped to 26-8, losing via TKO for the first time in his career.
