A “very rare” 77-year-old slice of the cake served at Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s wedding sold for £2,200 ($2,800) this week, according to auction house Reeman Dansie.

A 77-year-old slice of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip's wedding cake was auctioned in Scotland for Rs 2.36 lakh ($2,800). The preserved slice, gifted to a housekeeper at Holyrood House, came in its original box with a letter of gratitude from the Queen.
