Make no mistake, when the college student group Students for Justice in Palestine was banned from some University of California campuses in mid-February, it was high time.

The Justice Department on Wednesday announced it is investigating the University of California system over allegations of antisemitism in the wake of protests that broke out on several campuses over the war between Israel and Hamas.

The department is investigating the University of California, saying there could be a 'potential pattern' of discrimination against Jewish employees.

Officials will examine whether “a pattern or practice of discrimination” against Jewish professors and staff existed on 10 California campuses.
