With the offseason in full swing for most of the league, trade rumors are heating up. One team expected to be heavily involved in the trade market this summer is the 2024 NBA champion Boston Celtics.

The Boston Celtics were always going to face trade rumors after their second-round playoff exit at the hands of the New York Knicks. Brad Stevens has one of the most expensively constructed rosters in the NBA. If Boston doesn't duck under the second apron luxury tax, it could be facing a $500 million payroll once taxes are included.

There are increasing rumbles loosely tying the Celtics to a number of other NBA ball clubs percolating up in the Association's media coverage in recent days, and taken by themselves, do not make all that much sense.
