Hundreds attended the Quincy Marriott for the gala, which included the unveiling of a 7-foot bronze statue of John Quincy Adams, the nation's sixth president.

As part of a presidential history tour, Mr. Smith lead a tour of the Adams National Historical Park and other locations associated with John Adams and John Quincy Adams.

John Quincy Adams served as President of the United States from 1825 to 1829. Adams, defeated, returned to public life with his election to the House of Representatives in 1830.
