Lightning strike leads to 'significant' damage inside Olathe home, leaves 4 displaced

Four people have been temporarily displaced after firefighters say lightning struck the home's roof.

Update: The severe thunderstorm warning is forecast to expire at 11 p.m.

On Tuesday at 6:52 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 7:15 p.m. The warning is for Wyandotte, Clay, Jackson and Platte counties.
