The Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) has issued an update to its members on the status of negotiations over video game actor AI protections, saying that while progress has been made,

According to a SAG-AFTRA statement in October, the only sticking point in the negotiations remained artificial intelligence (AI) protection, with a spokesperson for the industry asserting the parties had reached agreement on “24 out of 25 proposals.

The union positioned the two sides being "frustratingly far apart" at the negotiating table in an update to members on Tuesday.

SAG-AFTRA's ongoing strike against major video game producers will continue following a proposal that does little to address the guild's concerns.
