Following an investigation by the Texarkana Fire Marshal’s Office, an arrest has been made in connection with a structure fire from February 2026.

At approximately 9:04 a.m. on May 22, 2026, the Decatur Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 600 block of North Jasper Street.

Officials say firefighters initiated an interior attack but backed out due to the conditions of the structure and the fire.
