The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) has announced the nominees for the 28th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards and the list reveals Astro Bot, Helldivers 2, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are leading the charge with six nominations each.

Astro Bot has already earned 110 Game of the Year awards, which is almost three times as many as any other game released last year. According to this website, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has 38 and then Balatro has scooped up 28. We joined other critics in awarding Astro Bot our Game of the Year gong a few weeks ago.

Astro Bot became the most awarded platformer last year with over 104 trophies, beating the previous record holder It Takes Two. Going into 2025, that hot streak only continues, as it has been nominated for six DICE awards.
