Apple Inc. faces escalating pressure from President Donald Trump to do what many analysts insist would be nearly impossible: move production of its iconic iPhone to the US from overseas.

President Donald Trump on Friday threatened 25% tariffs on Apple unless the company shifts iPhone manufacturing to the United States, saying he disapproves of the company's decision to move part of its supply chain to India.
The heads of General Motors, Ford and Stellantis met with Trump to outline how his tariffs would disrupt automaking. Trump gave them some reprieves on domestic vehicles with foreign parts not covered by the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement, but he still has a 25% tax on imported steel and aluminum.
