Update: Containment progress – Palisades Fire in Los Angeles County at 19%
Palisades Fire initially started 10:30 a.m. Jan. 7 in Los Angeles County. It has burned 23,713 acres after being active for eight days. A crew of 5,104 firefighters has been working on site and they managed to contain 19% of the fire by Wednesday afternoon. The blaze's cause remains under investigation.
California Wildfire Live Updates: Eaton Fire Is 45% Contained As Winds Slow In Los Angeles
Wednesday, 8:41 a.m. PST Cal Fire provided an update on the fires in Los Angeles, reporting 19% containment for the Palisades Fire, 45% containment for the Eaton Fire, 50% containment for the Auto Fire (later upgraded to 85% containment) and 97% containment for the Hurst Fire.
