Nepal’s flood disaster death toll has risen sharply as rescue teams continue searching for thousands of missing people. Teams are conducting operations on the ground, from the air and inside hydropower tunnels.

Communities in Nepal impacted by fatal flash flooding will receive £50,000 worth of support funded by officials in Guernsey. The island's government said its Overseas Aid & Development Commission had approved the funding, which will be given to Cornish-based charity Shelterbox's response team in Nepal.
