That Sleeping Dogs movie that Simu Liu teased earlier this week might be a little further in development than we thought.

The Sleeping Dogs film adaptation, which was confirmed to be cancelled earlier this month, now has a chance of coming back courtesy of Marvel star Simu Liu. As reported by Newsweek, Liu replied to a fan calling for an adaptation of the 2012 game on X/Twitter to say he is trying to get the film off the ground.

Hollywood actor Simu Liu, most famously known for playing the lead role in Marvel's Shang-Chi, has confirmed he is in talks regarding the Sleeping Dogs movie rights. In a reply to a fan on X who shared a gameplay video of Sleeping Dogs' combat, Liu mentioned, "Working with the rights holders to bring Sleeping Dogs to the big screen!"
