Sonic the Hedgehog 3 took off at the box office this past weekend. This past weekend saw the wide release of both Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King. Per Deadline, Sonic easily won the domestic box office weekend as it brought in approximately $62 million.

Both Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Mufasa hit theaters this weekend, with everyone's favorite blue ball of speed winning the share of revenue.
