It’s been a tough week emotionally for Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suárez as he tries to navigate trade rumors and a slump at the plate. Monday night, though, things turned painful for Suárez as he was hit on the right index finger by a 95.
The tough blows continue to fall for the Arizona Diamondbacks. On Monday, All-Star third baseman Eugenio Suárez exited a 5-1 loss to the Detroit Tigers in the ninth inning after taking another pitch off the hand. Suárez was in clear pain after being hit on what appeared to be the right index finger by the 96 MPH fastball.
The Eugenio Suárez sweepstakes have been the story of the MLB trade deadline thus far, but recent reports indicate that interested teams may be getting scared off by the asking price from the Diamondbacks.
