A Powerball ticket sold in Texas won $1 million, but just missed the $20 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The tickets matched five winning numbers, but not the Powerball, in the drawing Monday, Jan. 20, the national Powerball site said.

A Tahoka resident is now a $1-million richer after claiming a winning Texas Lottery scratch ticket game. The person who won the Jackpot Millions scratch game says they want to remain anonymous. The ticket was sold at a Stripes convenience store at 34th St.

There were no tickets sold matching all six numbers in Monday evening’s drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery. One ticket was sold matching five numbers but not the Powerball in Texas and is worth $1 million.
