After declining to greet President-elect Donald Trump at Jimmy Carter’s funeral, former second lady Karen Pence also chose to skip his inauguration

Karen Pence did not appear alongside her husband when he arrived at Donald Trump’s inauguration. It’s the second Trump snubbing by the former second lady in as many weeks after she infamously refused to greet the couple at Jimmy Carter’s funeral—a decision that earned her equal praise and ridicule by MAGA and Democrats.

Mrs. Pence, who has reportedly always despised Mr. Trump, snubbed the 47th president in the recent past. Just weeks ago, at President Carter’s state funeral, Mrs. Pence refused to get up from her seat and shake Mr. Trump’s hand. She did not even acknowledge his presence, choosing instead to look down and read the funeral program.
