It was the last remaining model on sale in the UK. This marks the first time that Jaguar has not offered new cars in the United Kingdom since a tiny little war that threw a wrench in things around the world came to an end in 1945.

The last Jaguar F-Pace SUV has rolled off Castle Bromwich production lines in a move by the iconic British car maker to halt making any new vehicles in the UK until the debut of its next-generation model in 2026.

Monday came and went without much fuss about a major bit of British automotive history: Jaguar, the go-to car marque for prime ministers and members of the royal family, stopped selling any new vehicles in the UK.

Jaguar has ceased selling all petrol and diesel models for the first time since WW2 as it terminates its 102-year relationship with the internal combustion engine.
