The Dodge County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a UTV that broke through the ice on Sinissippi Lake in the Town of Hustisford on Sunday, Jan. 5.

Authorities in Wisconsin say the driver of a UTV was arrested for their first OWI offense after the UTV and two people went through the ice while driving on a lake Sunday evening. According to a release from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office,

Two men were pulled from an icy lake after their UTV plunged through the ice, Wisconsin officials said. While neither man was seriously injured, the driver was placed under arrest once he was safely retrieved from the freezing water in Hustisford, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office said in a Jan. 6 Facebook post.

A 45-year-old Iron Ridge man was arrested for being intoxicated while operating an UTV/ATV on Sunday after the UTV he was driving went through the ice on Sinissippi Lake. Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt said in a statement that deputies from the sheriff’s office responded to a report around 5 p.

An ice fisherman died Monday morning after falling through the ice while riding a UTV on Lawrence Lake in Marquette County. Emergency responders were called to the scene around 10 a.m. for a report of a fisherman who had gone through the ice.
