Singapore Airlines will spend 1.1 billion Singapore dollars ($834.66 million) to upgrade all classes on its 41 Airbus A350-900 long-haul and ultra-long-range planes by the end of 2030, the airline said on Monday.

The retrofit accounts for 64% of SIA’s A350 fleet, which totals 64 aircraft. There are 24 A350-900s configured in the high-density two-class configuration, without premium economy. The program will be carried out by SIA Engineering Company in Singapore.

Facing further delays in the arrival of its next-gen Boeing 777-9 fleet, Singapore Airlines will now launch the 777X first and business class suites on its A350s in a sweeping SGD$1.1bn upgrade program.
