Tensions increased this week on Big Brother Season 27 when Houseguest Katherine Woodman unexpectedly won the Power of Veto. She hadn’t been a target and was considered a peripheral player.

Ava Pearl went from floater to Week 5 Head of Household, though she may end up wishing she never won it by the time that Thursday ends. Ava put up Zach Cornell, Week 1 HOH Vince Panaro, and Keanu Soto for eviction, but with the veto up for grabs, there was always a chance one of them would come down.

The Veto competition and meeting will play out during the next episode, which airs on CBS and Paramount+ on Wednesday, August 13, at 8 p.m. ET. The live BB Blockbuster competition and eviction airs on Thursday, August 14, at 8 p.m. ET.
