A widespread power outage hit Spain and Portugal, affecting millions of people who live across Europe's Iberian Peninsula.

Power had almost fully returned to Spain and Portugal on Tuesday although many questions remained about what caused one of Europe’s most severe blackouts

Spain has recovered more than 92% of its power following an unprecedented blackout that brought much of Spain and Portugal to a standstill, officials said.
