Portuguese winger Jota has returned to Celtic from Rennes, so here is a selection of his best moments during his first spell with the Scottish champions.

Ligue 1 side Rennes signed Japanese international Kyogo Furuhashi from Celtic on Monday, with Portuguese forward Jota rejoining the Scottish champions.The Portugal under-21 international left the Glasgow outfit to join Saudi side Al Ittihad before moving to Rennes in August last year.

Jota says he “needed a place with a soul” after securing a return to Celtic on a five-year-deal following unsuccessful spells in Saudi Arabia and France. The Portuguese winger left Parkhead for Al-Ittihad 18 months ago before returning to Europe to sign for Ligue 1 side Rennes in the summer.

Jota wants to "bring joy" to the Celtic supporters even though "times have changed" at Parkhead. Having left in the summer of 2023, the winger returns to Glasgow on a five-and-a-half-year deal after leaving French side Rennes where he spent the last six months following a tough spell in Saudi Arabia.

Monday will be remembered as a bittersweet day for Celtic, with the club saying farewell to one modern day great and welcoming back another. Rennes were involved in both deals as the French outfit signed Kyogo after three-and-a-half year, 85 goals, eight trophies and countless memories made.

His departure equalled the record fee received by Celtic until Matt O'Riley's sale to Brighton last summer, and fans will remember his time in Glasgow fondly. Jota's 54 goal contributions - 28 goals and 26 assists - made him a pivotal part of Ange Postecoglou's team.
