The family of Minnesota native and Mason City, Iowa TV anchor Jodi Huisentruit is responding to news that investigators recently searched a construction site in Winsted, Minnesota, and wondering if there’s a break in the nearly 30-year old cold case.

A website dedicated to the 1995 disappearance of Mason City morning TV anchor Jodi Huisentruit reports Iowa authorities were recently in Minnesota to follow up on a tip related to the case. According to FindJodi.

The website Find Jodi says Iowa investigators following a tip searched an area of new apartment construction two weeks ago in Winsted about an hour west of the Twin Cities.

Reporter Caroline Lowe of FindJodi.com says Mason City police traveled to Winsted, Minn. in October to check on a lead in the decades-old case.
