Organizers of the Times Square New Year's Eve celebration screwed the last crystals onto the ball before it ushers in the new year one last time.

The celebrations at Times Square in New York City will kick off in less than a week, with star-studded performances and an exciting countdown.

The last of the crystal triangles that make up this year’s Times Square New Year’s Eve ball have been installed, marking the first time in 10 years that all 2,688 were replaced at once. Rapper Pitbull and inventor Joy Mangano were on hand on Friday to help the co-organizers of the 2025 New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square atop One Times Square to install the last few crystals.

It will feel seasonably warm in North Jersey on New Year's Eve, as AccuWeather is calling for temperatures to hover around a relatively mild 49 degrees on Tuesday, Dec. 31.

Revelers from all over the world flock to Times Square in New York City on New Year's Eve to watch the ball drop. But those who don't want to stand out in the cold for hours have options, as many of the chain restaurants lining the commercial intersection offer dining and bar packages.

The official Times Square New Year’s Eve event lineup includes live performances by Mark Ambor, Mickey Guyton, Rita Ora, Carrie Underwood, Jonas Brothers, Megan Moroney, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and more.
